I’ve been a lurker in the blogosphere for years now. I don’t even comment except occasionally on blogs of people I know. I’ve finally thrown my hat into the ring now because–well, in addition to turning 30 and not giving a damn anymore–I think I like writing. The only writing I’ve done though (since self-publishing the first and only two issues of The Pensacola Catholic Homeschoolers’ Kids’ Newsletter, oh, about 20 years ago) has been of the legal variety.
So blogging seems like a good way to expand my horizons.
But it’s such a scary thing to put your thoughts out there.
As my favorite philosopher put it:
When you are a [Blogger] of Very Little Brain, and you Think of Things, you find sometimes that a Thing which seemed very Thingish inside you is quite different when it gets out into the open and has other people looking at it.
A. A. Milne (The House at Pooh Corner)
So here’s hoping my Big Thoughts on my small but valuable life
are still Thingish out in the open. Good night dear void.
