Liturgical Correctitude

The perfect valentine1. “Oh I’m so excited that tomorrow is Valentine’s Day!  . . . But then we have to wait a long time until Easter.”

2. “That’s right.  First we have to get through Lent.”

3. ::Blank stare::

4. “Lent is the season of preparation for Easter.”

5. ::Blank stare::

6. “Just like Advent is the season of preparation for Christmas.”

7. “Oh!  And like October is the season of preparation for Halloween!”

Yes, just like that, Girl 1.  Just like that.

    • This is EXACTLY what I was going to say!!! For some sad reason, my kids always say Halloween is their favorite holiday… I may have convinced Cecilia to double up on her Halloween & All Saints costume this year by telling her that my husband will get her a fancy princess dress if she says she wants to be a princess saint 😉 She was like, “OH! Then I’ll be St. Ursula for Halloween!!!” #bribery #nailedit
